In accordance with Anti-dumping Regulations of the People’s Republic of China, the Tariff Committee of the State Council decided to impose anti-dumping duties on imported cold rolled stainless steel sheet originated from Japan and the Republic of Korea as from Apr 8, 2006, the duration of which is 5 years. Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs released Announcement No.18, 2006 of Ministry of Commerce and Announcement No.18, 2006 of General Administration of Customs respectively in 2006. Recently, in line with application on alteration of rights and obligation of NIPPO YAKIN KOGYO CO.，LTD.and TAIHAN ST CO.，LTD., Ministry of Commerce released Announcement No.64, 2007, allowing YAKIN KAWASAKI CO.，LTD. succeed rights and obligation of NIPPO YAKIN KOGYO CO.，LTD.in cold rolled stainless steel sheet anti-dumping case and TAIHAN ST CO.，LTD. succeed rights and obligation of TAIHAN ELECTRIC WIRE CO.，LTD.. Related issues on Customs implementation are now announced as follows: 1.As from Aug 1, 2007, the Customs shall impose an anti-dumping duty of 27% on cold rolled stainless steel sheet originated from YAKIN KAWASAKI CO.，LTD., and 58% on imported cold rolled stainless steel sheet declared in name of NIPPO YAKIN KOGYO CO.，LTD., which shall be equivalent to tax rate of “other Japanese Companies”; 2.as from Aug 1, 2007. as regards cold rolled stainless steel sheet originated from TAIHAN ST CO.，LTD., the Customs shall implement in accordance with price commitment agreement between TAIHAN ELECTRIC WIRE CO.，LTD. and Ministry of Commerce; for cold rolled stainless steel sheet declared in name of TAIHAN ELECTRIC WIRE CO.，LTD., the Customs shall impose an anti-dumping duty of 57%, which is equivalent to “other Korean companies”; 3.From Aug 1, 2007 to the date of release of this announcement, the Customs shall refund the exceeded part of the anti-dumping duty and require the payment of the insufficient part due to the alteration of the rights and obligations of cold rolled stainless steel sheet anti-dumping case; 4.Other issues on anti-dumping duties of cold rolled stainless steel sheet originated from Japan and the Republic of Korea are subject to regulations of Announcement of General Administration of Customs.
