For purposes of facilitating consignee and consigner of imported and exported commodity, operating enterprises or their attorneys make sure the commodity classification of the declared imported and exported goods, guaranteeing effective implementation of Pact for Commodity Name and Code Coordination System, and reducing international disputes due to difference of commodity classification, General Administration of Customs released Announcement No.63, 2005 of General Administration of Customs to release Collection of Commodity Classification Decision of General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (the World Customs Organization 1988-2000 Classification Decision) (hereinafter referred to as “Collection”). In line with Commodity Name and Code Coordination System, hereby decides to revise a part of the Collection (refer to appendix for details). The revised classification shall take effect as from the date of the release.
