 Minister of Commerce Chen Deming met Mr. Carlos M. Gutierrez, the visiting Secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce in Beijing on May 14. Gutierrez extended his profound condolence and sympathy to the earthquake disaster in Sichuan Province. Minister Chen thanked to him and briefed on the quake effect and Chinese government’s rescue and relief work. The two sides exchanged views on the development of China-US economic and trade ties, Doha round talks and IPR cooperation, etc. |
