MOFCOM Starts Anti-subsidy Investigation into Potato Starch Imported From EU


The Chinese Ministry of Commerce released the No.48 Announcement of 2010, stating to start anti-subsidy investigation into potato starch imported from the European Union. It is China’s first anti-subsidy probe into imports from EU. The investigation was followed by the application of the Tuber Crop starch sub-Association under China Starch Industry Association, and the products to be investigated are under the Tariff No 11081300 under Import and Export Tax Regulations of the People's Republic of China.

Based on the Anti-subsidy Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce will investigate into the existence and margin of the subsidy for the potato starch imports from EU, and its damage to China’s potato starch industry, and will make a ruling within the time limit provided by law.
