China-Bulgaria Entrepreneurs Conference was held in Sofia, Capital city of Bulgaria, on October 15th. Over 400 representatives from China and Bulgaria enterprises attended the conference. Chong Quan, Chinese Assistant Minister of Commerce, and Ivo Marinov, Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism delivered speech at the conference. Chong Quan pointed out that, in recent years, with great potential, China-Bulgaria trade and economic relations have been developing rapidly and steadily, and the future is promising. China is a growing and open market; the Chinese government welcomes Bulgarian enterprises to come to China to conduct business investigation for investment and cooperation, and will actively push the Chinese enterprises to invest and cooperate in Bulgaria. Chong Quan stressed that, in order to overcome the current financial crisis, all the countries should have confidence, step up cooperation, persevere in free trade, and oppose trade protectionism. China would like to join efforts with the international community to actively keep up the stability of international finance, boost the development of world economy, so as to contribute to the harmony and sustainable development of the world. It is hoped that, Chinese and Bulgarian entrepreneurs can overcome difficulties together to promote the bilateral trade and economic cooperation to a new level. Deputy Minister Marinov said, over the past 60 years since the establishment of China-Bulgaria diplomatic relations, the two countries maintained long-lasting friendship and robust trade ties. Since 2007, Bulgaria has become a formal EU member, which provided great driving force for Bulgarian economic development. Bulgaria attaches great importance to developing trade and economic relations with China, welcomes Chinese enterprises to deepen trade cooperation with Bulgaria, and will create more favorable trade and investment environment for Chinese entrepreneurs, so as to promote the constant development of the bilateral trade and economic relations. The conference is organized by the Investment Promotion Agency of Chinese Ministry of Commerce and Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency. The Chinese Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation taking part in the conference consists of over 120 entrepreneurs, whose trades involving chemistry, textile, pharmaceutical, real estate, mine, logistics, electronics and foodstuff. |
