 The 4th Guangdong International Wine& Spirits Expo (GIWSE) and the 1st Guangzhou International Wine Festival held on July 9-11, 2009 in the Liquor Exchange Center at Guangzhou Bonded Zone. Mr. Fang Aiqing, Assistant Minister of Commerce, Mr. Wang Beiying, Inspector of MOFCOM Department of Market Operation Regulation, leaders from Guangzhou Municipal Government, and representatives from domestic wine distributors and, officials from France, Germany and Italy Consulates in Guangzhou, over 1,000 participants were present at the inauguration. The 4th GIWSE is the most significant fair for foreign liquors in 2009 in China. 156 enterprises from 18 countries, including France, Italy, the United States, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Germany, Malaysia, Austria and Russia, and 3000 exhibits were at the Fair. More than 16,250 participants attended the 3-day exhibition, among which over 11,690 were professional buyers and 5,560 other attendances. Total turnover of the 4th GIWSE reached about RMB 200 million Yuan, bigger than previous sessions. |
