On Oct 12, 2007, the US Department of Commerce decided to initiate anti-dumping and countervailing investigation on raw flexible magnets from China. This was the sixth investigation of US on China's product within a year. MOFCOM spokesman said that China strongly against such affairs. China's industry showed great dissatisfaction for US has initiated so many anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on China's products within a short time. China has made clear its position for times against such wrong issues. US abused WTO's rules for taking the investigation. It went against the court's judgment before and general regulations used for years. It took bad effects on developing a mutual beneficial, win-win, harmonious and healthy bilateral trade and economic relationship, which on the contrary complicated China-US trade ties. This is unwise and improper. Such intensive investigations transferred wrong information to US industry and caused huge unnecessary pressure on China and US’s governments. Therefore, China expected US to correct such mistake, so as to avoid negative influence as soon as possible. As a WTO member, China would keep all legal rights. |
