| MOFCOM to Initiate Mid-term Review on Dumping and Dumping Margin of Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber Imports from ROK |

On April 16, MOFCOM released Announcement No.40, 2007, which determined to initiate mid-term review on dumping and dumping margin on imported Dispersion Unshifted Single-Mode Optical Fiber originated from ROK. Korean OPTOMAGIC Corporation asked to carry out mid-term review on dumping and margin of dumping of the investigated product on Jan 31, 2007. MOFCOM examined the application by law and determined to initiate the mid-term review starting from April 16, 2007 on such product. The product under review is the product investigated before. The tariff No. of the product is 90011000 in China’s customs import and export tariff. The other type of optical fiber, optical fiber bundle and optical fiber cable under the same tariff No. are excluded. The mid-term review shall be completed before April 16, 2008.
