| MOFCOM Issues Announcement on Terminating Anti-dumping Investigation to Imported Butanol |

Ministry of Commerce issued Announcement No.10 2007, on promulgating the preliminary determination on anti-dumping investigation to butanols on March 2, 2007. It confirmed dumping in the imported butanols from Russia, the USA, South Africa, Malaysia, the EU and Japan, but since domestic butanols industry did not suffer material injury, MOFCOM determined to terminate the anti-dumping investigation starting from March 2, 2007. The investigated produce is an organic chemical, which mainly used to produce DOP and DOA. Examining from damage index of domestic butanol, such as apparent consumption, domestic industrial productivity, output, sales, market share, sale price, sale revenue, profit before tax, employment, average wage and production efficiency, domestic industry did not suffer material injury, MOFCOM terminated the investigation according to relevant regulations.
