| Chinese-invested Enterprises in India Donated for Quake Relief |

 On May 12, a strong earthquake of the Richter scale of 7.8 hit Wenchuan Sichuan, which claimed a great loss of lives and properties to people in disaster-hit areas. It was known that after the earthquake, Chinese-invested enterprises in India and their staff were much concerned about the disaster situation and the relief progress. To proactively respond to the great call of CPC Central Committee “when disaster strikes, help comes from all sides; in order to win the victory over quake relief jointly, we should be of one mind to build an impregnable fortress”, the Chinese-invested enterprises in China and their staff all proactively contributed to people in disaster-hit areas. By May 15, the enterprises including Sinosteel India, TCL India Holdings Pvt, Ltd and Indian project department of LONG JIAN ROAD & BRIDGE Co., LTD and their staff had donated RUPEE820500 (USD20000). The above-mentioned charitable donations on May 15 have been mailed to special donation accounts appointed by MOFCOM for overseas Chinese-invested enterprises. The Economic and Commercial Section, India here expresses sincere thanks to the Chinese-invested enterprises in India and their staff on behalf of people in disaster-hit areas. |
