CHANGCHUN -- Xu Jianyi, a member of the standing committee of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), has been appointed general manager of auto giant FAW Group. Wang Ercheng, deputy director of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, announced the appointment by the CPC Central Committee at a meeting of the FAW Group here on Thursday. Xu, 54, worked in the FAW Group as deputy general manager of a subsidiary company and executive deputy general manger of the group. He started to work in the provincial government in 2003 and was elected a member of the standing committee of the CPC provincial committee of Jilin in May 2007. Former FAW General Manager Zhu Yanfeng was recently appointed vice governor of the northeast Jilin Province. |
