By the end of May 2007, Heilongjiang province had cumulatively approved 2763 investment projects from Hong Kong businessmen, with contracted use of Hong Kong investment of USD6.422b, and actual utilization of Hong Kong investment reached USD4.63b. With the sustained growth of investment amount from Hong Kong in Heilongjiang province and the continuous expansion of investment fields, five major fields were much concerned by investors from Hong Kong including Heilongjiang agricultural planting, processing and manufacturing, real estate development industry, retail and social services. To enhance economic and trade cooperation with Hong Kong region, in 2004 and 2006, Heilongjiang province held “Heilongjiang (Hong Kong) Activities Week" in Hong Kong. Many scenes of special trade activities were organized early or late, including "Longgang Association of Economic Cooperation Establishment Conference," "Heilongjiang Tourism and Green (UNSCOM) Foods Promotion Conference". There had been more than 2,300 enterprises, more than 13,500 people from all walks of life in Hong Kong to visit and inspect Heilongjiang province successively. |
