| Annual reports of listed companies show profits up 44.24% |

BEIJING, April 4-- The 733 listed Chinese companies that have so far filed annual reports for 2006 - just over have the total -- report combined net profits of 181 billion yuan, up 44.24 percent year-on-year. The Bank of China's net profit of 41.9 billion yuan accounted for 23.16 percent of the combined net profits reported by the 733 companies, China Securities Journal reported on Wednesday. The top ten profit earners, which include Baosteel, Minsheng Bank and the Bank of China, registered combined profits of 80.96 billion yuan in 2006, making up 45 percent of total profits of the 733 listed companies. |
