| China's Real Government Procurement Scale Closing to RMB300bln in 2005 |

Ministry of Finance released that China's real government procurement scale in 2005 amounted to RMB292.76bln yuan, up by 37.1% than previous year. Procurement sum constituted 1.6% of national GDP and kept the same as 2004. The statistics showed that China's government procurement of engineering projects in 2005 was RMB132.32bln yuan, up by 39.5% than 2004; procurement of service was RMB19.58bln yuan, up by 41.4%; procurement by central units amounted to RMB40.78bln, up by 39.2% than 2004. Ministry of Finance announced that since China implementing reform on government procurement for 7 years, China’s government procurement scale average increased by 77.9% every year.
