According to statistics, import and export of Shanxi amounted to US$944 million in Jan and Feb, up by 5.87% compared with the same period last year. Of which export was US$518 million, down by 14.32% compared with the same period last year. Import was US$426 million, up by 48.49% compared with the same period last year. Trade surplus reached US$92.72 million. 1.03 million tons coke was exported, up by 0.42%, and the export value reached US$120 million, down by 45.45%. Export of coal was 0.924 million tons, down by 42.28%, and export value was US$65.98 million, down by 25.61%. Export of magnesium was 25 300 tons, down by 14.5%, and export value was US$42.40 million, down by 20.29%. Import and export of electromechanical products amounted to US$337 million, up by 126.41%. Of which export was US$122 million, up by 66.76%. Import was US$215 million, up by 184.18%. Import and export of high-tech electromechanical products reached US$111 million, up by 233.1%.
