| The CCPIT Delegation Having a Successful Visit to Iceland |

CCPIT delegation headed by Wan Jifei, Chairman of CCPIT, made a three-day visit to Iceland from November 7 to 9. The delegation met with Minister of Commerce and Industry of Iceland, Minister of Transportation and Tourism and Standing Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and attended the tenth anniversary celebration of China-Iceland Association for the Promotion of International Trade and China-Iceland economic and trade symposium. Chairman Wan Jifei signed memorandum of understanding and cooperation with Trade Council of Iceland and China-Iceland Association for the Promotion of International Trade, and made a study of tourism resources and facilities. Iceland paid much attention to visit of CCPIT, and postponed the date of celebration and arranged a quite number of calls, talks, and study tours. Iceland President could not meet the delegation for his visit abroad and specially entrusted Chinese ambassador in Iceland to convey his greetings and regrets to the delegation. The successful visit of CCPIT to Iceland not only deepened mutual understanding and trust, set up contact for exchange and negotiation between China and Iceland, but also established a solid foundation for promoting cooperation in economy, trade, tourism, and solving trade dispute properly.
