| "Tenth-Five Year Plan" in Hubei Implemented Well, Annual average Growth Rate 2% Higher Than Set Target |

Hubei Province entered into the final stage of "Tenth-Five Year Plan", the Provincial Development and Reform Commission disclosed that economy of the Province grew steadily and rapidly during the period of "Tenth-Five Year Plan" and major indicators indices were fulfilled or fulfilled ahead of time. In the "Tenth-Five Year Plan", the national economy in Hubei Province stepped up to a new stage every year and the annual growth rate reached 10% in five-year average, 2% hither than the set target. Of which the annual growth rate of industrial economy was over 11%, and the industrial added value accounted for about 40% of total provincial gross output, becoming the leading strength to promote economic growth in the Province. Besides, the agricultural structure was improved too much, it is predicted that the agricultural output in 2005 might hit RMB115 billion with an annual growth rate of 4% in 5 years. In the "Tenth-Five Year Plan", total investment in fixed assets in the Province amounted to RMB1022 billion, up by 70% compared with that in the "Ninth-Five Year Plan". Major projects developed successfully. People's living standard improved obviously. Per Capita Annual Disposable Income of Urban Household in 2005 was expected to be RMB8505, and rural per capita net income RMB3050, up by 9% and 6.1% respectively. It is introduced that Hubei's "Eleventh-Five Year Plan" was drawn up and basic target was: to further enhance the economic strength, expedite the transfer of economic growth mode, optimize the economic structure step by step, reinforce the capacity of sustainable development and lay a firm foundation for the target of building a Well-off society in an all-round way and establishing a harmonious province of Hubei.
