Both Imports and Exports of Taiwan in Oct. Broke Through US$15 Billion For the First Time

Statistics recently released by Taiwan Financial Department indicated that both imports and exports in Oct. broke through US$15 billion for the first time, amounting to US$15.05 billion and US$15.39 billion respectively and up by 38.1% and 17.5% respectively compared with the same period of last year, realizing two-digit increase in both imports and exports in 12 consecutive months. Meanwhile, statistics showed that in Oct., Taiwan's exports to Mainland were US$5.55 billion, accounting for 36% of its total exports and trade surplus reached US$38.4%, 7% higher than the same time last year.
