In August 2004, industrial added value by above-norm enterprises amounted to RMB7.905 billion, up by 35.44% compared with the same period of last year and hitting the highest record in recent years. In the first 8 months, total industrial added value by above-norm enterprises in Qingdao reached RMB 56.96 billion, up by 26.56% and also breaking through the highest record in past several years, which was attributed to the rapid growth in August.
