| Purchasing Price of Raw Material Rose in February |

Statistics recently released by relative department of Shenzhen urban survey team indicated that purchasing prices of raw material, fuel and power in Shenzhen in February maintaining rising, up by 5.56% compared with the same period of 2003 and 3.16% higher than that in the previous month, it was the highest growth rate since last year. Statistics showed that among raw material and other 8 products, purchasing prices of 8 sorts of them were higher than that in the previous year. Of which ferrous metal, material and cable, construction material and nonferrous mineral increased by 23.87%, 20.22% and 13.7% respectively in price. Price of Portland cement was up by 20.85%, but prices of medium and small seized steel were on a rise of over 60%. (Information by Special Commissioner's Office in Shenzhen) |
