Bilateral trade between China and EU Would Break Through US$100 Billion for the First Time

According to Ministry of Commerce, Wei Jianguo, Vice Minister of Commerce, disclosed recently in the seminar of "2003 NEACB Regional Economic Cooperation" that total bilateral trade between China and EU would break through US$100 billion for the first time this year .

It was said that in Jan. through July, China's exports to EU were US$37.21 billion, up by 47.8% compared with the same period of last year; And imports were US$29.19 billion, up by 36.8%.

The important theme of the seminar were: international development of modern logistics and the development strategy of logistics in the area around NEACB. Main target was to seek for the shortcut to optimize the current resource allocation and lower the cost of social logistics so as to expedite the space of cooperative development in the area alomg NEACB.
