(Valid From:1986.04.20) These measures, in relation to Chinese units or individuals seeking employment and contract work with the various foreign, Hong Kong, Macao or Overseas Chinese representative offices (or individuals) stationed in this city, are announced as follows in order to improve and reinforce services provided in relation to foreign affairs. Article 1. All persons who seek employment or contract work involving construction and engineering projects etc. with foreign diplomatic missions stationed in the People's Republic of China, representative bodies of the United Nations and correspondents stationed in Beijing employed by the various world press organs must first register with the Beijing Foreign Affairs Personnel Service Bureau and be recommended by the said Bureau. Article 2. All persons who seek employment with or to do contract work for foreign, Hong Kong, Macao or Overseas Chinese enterprises or resident representative bodies (or individuals) in Beijing and other economic organisations must be recommended by the Beijing Municipal Foreign Enterprise Service Corporation. Article 3. All persons who seek to undertake contract translation and publishing work for foreign representative offices (or individuals) stationed in this city must be recommended by the China Foreign Translation Publication Corporation, the World Knowledge Publishing House and the International Cultural Publication Corporation. Article 4. All persons recommended through the Beijing Municipal Foreign Enterprise Service Corporation who accept an offer of employment or are hired, shall, within 10 days of their signing the contract, take a letter of certification from the Beijing Municipal Foreign Enterprise Service Corporation and a copy of the contract to the Beijing Municipal Administration Bureau for Industry and Commerce and apply for registration and to be issued with the relevant certificate, which should then be taken to the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau Foreigners Exit-Entry Administration Department for registration and recording. Article 5. Those who were employed prior to the proclamation of these measures, without the recommendation of the above-listed relevant departments or going through the necessary procedures in accordance with the above-mentioned regulations, must carry out all relevant formalities before 20 May 1986. Article 6. Violators of the above-mentioned regulations shall, in accordance with each circumstance, be investigated and dealt with by the Beijing Municipal People's Security Bureau, the Administration Bureau for Industry and Commerce and other relevant departments, according to the relevant regulations. |
