| China and USA Held a Negotiation on Textile Issue |

| On Jan. 14, Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng and Grant Aldonas, US Undersecretary of Commerce held a frank negotiation on textile issue in Beijing. Both China and USA believed that integration of textile trade as from Jan. 1, 2005 and healthy development of was in the interest of the two countries. The two sides agreed that the dialogue and cooperation between government and business community would continue so as to enhance understanding and trust, and each side would appoint contact person to keep communication channel open.
