| 5th China Int'l Consumer Goods Fair Ends with Success |

The 5th China International Consumer Goods Fair (CICGF), held in Ningbo, east China's Zhejiang Province from June 8 to 12, 2006, ends with big success. The fair, co-sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, attracts 1,550 exhibitors and over 7,100 buyers from all over the world. The trade value of the fair reached US$910 million, 29.6 percent higher than the previous session, including US$400 million for electronics and home appliances, US$285 million for light industrial products, arts and crafts, US$130 million for home textile and garments, US$50 million for foodstuffs and US$45 million for others. Zhejiang is China's largest textile and light industrial product manufacturing base, which enables buyers to access many top-notch Chinese companies directly. (China.org.cn June 16, 2006) |
