Zardari likely to seek Chinese investment

KARACHI (September 10 2008): President Asif Ali Zardari is likely to seek Chinese investment, mainly in power sector besides financial assistance to improve economic condition in his first visit after assuming office, sources said. "Qadirpur gas field privatisation, Thar coal-based electric power project, hydel power projects and a few others are on the agenda," sources said.
Zardari will be visiting China this week. It will be his first official visit to a most trusted and friendly country.
