BEIJING, Sept. 22 -- Washington says it hopes to have more discussions this week with China on its currency reforms and ways to reverse the United States' soaring trade deficit. Spea king to reporters before Friday's meeting of finance ministers and central bankers from the Group of Seven, Treasury Undersecretary Tim Adams said the US will talk more on spurring China's domestic demands. "We are in constant conversations with them (China) and we treat them with the same respect and dignity that we would forge any economy of a country of that size and that importance. The US and China relations one of the most important relations in the world," said Adams. China abandoned its decades-old currency pegging system with the dollars in July, and revalued the Renminby by 2.1 percent, but the US has pressed China for more fluctuations. US Treasury Secretary John Snow is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Chinese Finance Minister Jin Renqing and central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan on the margins of Friday's Group of Seven meeting.
