A: This investigation was initiated upon application by the domestic industry. Preliminary evidence submitted by the applicant shows that from 2022 to 2024, the volume of dichlorosilane imported from Japan showed an overall upward trend, while its price dropped by 31% cumulatively. Dumped imports from Japan have caused material injury to the production and operations of the domestic industry.

After receiving the application, the investigating authority, in accordance with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and in compliance with WTO rules, reviewed the application and determined that it met the conditions for the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation, thereby deciding to launch the investigation.

The investigating authority will conduct the investigation in accordance with laws, fully safeguard the rights of all interested parties, and make an objective and fair determination based on the findings of the investigation.
