In the first quarter of 2018, the total import and export value of China reached US$1042.15 billion, with an increase of 16.3% year on year (the same as below). The export was US$545.27 billion, with an increase of 14.1% and the import was US$496.88 billion, with an increase of 18.9%, the trade surplus was US$48.39 billion, with a decrease of 19.3%.
In March, the total value of the Chinese import and export was US$353.23 billion, with an increase of 5.3%. The export was US$174.12 billion, with a decrease of 2.7% and the import was US$179.1 billion, with an increase of 14.4%. The trade deficit was US$4.98 billion (the surplus over the same period last year was US$22.39 billion).
